Gorilla safari in Bwindi – 3 days

A Naturetrack Expeditions guide will pick you up from your hotel after breakfast then set off to Bwindi Impenetrable National park driving through Kampala towards southwestern Uganda. There will be a stopover at the Equator monument in Kayabwe for photography where the earth is divided into the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. While here you may opt to look into African shops to buy some crafts and souvenirs.

We will then proceed to Mbarara where we will have lunch and a tour around the Igongo cultural museum which is armed with an illustrious history of the western culture and the Ancient life of the Ankole Kingdom before finally driving out to Bwindi impenetrable national park.

Arrive in the late afternoon for check-in, relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

After an early breakfast on day 2 of gorilla safari in bwindi, we will head out for our trekking experience. The first stop will be at the park headquarters where park officials will brief you about the code of conduct of gorilla trekking in the forest. You will then be grouped into 8 individuals with other tourists trekking gorillas and be guided into the forest by park rangers.

This experience ordinarily takes 2 to 8 hours and requires a reasonable level of fitness and health. In case you have a physical limitation, there is still a chance for you to enjoy this Uganda gorilla trekking by taking special arrangements at an extra cost where Porters lift you on a local wheelchair all the way through the forest to spot the gorillas.

Bwindi impenetrable national park forest also offers 350 bird species, 310 butterflies, 200 tree species, and 120 primates including, the chimpanzees and the Black and White Columbus monkeys.

After breakfast on Day 3 of Gorilla Safari in Bwindi, we will head back to Kampala / Entebbe. Via the Mbarara route with lunch in Mbarara. Drop off on day 3 will be at Entebbe International Airport or any other preferred drop-off point of your choice marking the end of gorilla safari in Bwindi.
